Most nights none of this needs saying. It is written down so that when something does come up, nobody has to guess what the league expects, and so it gets settled the same way every time.

On court

• Call your own lines. If you are not sure, the ball was in. You lose a point you might have won, and the game moves on.
• Do not coach players who have not asked you to. Advice from the sideline is welcome when someone wants it and tiresome when they do not.
• Keep the volume down. The courts either side of you are running their own games, and Arch has other players in the building.
• Play to who is on court with you. The league runs 2.0 to 4.0+ and pods are mixed. Putting a ball through someone who cannot return it proves nothing.

Harassment and discrimination

Neither is tolerated in this league, on court or in the group chat. That covers conduct aimed at a player's gender, race, religion, age, disability or sexual orientation. If someone asks you to stop, stop.

If there is a problem

Sort it on court if you can. Most of it is a misread call and a short conversation.

If that does not work, or it is not something you want to raise yourself, email [email protected]. The organizers read that inbox and handle reports discreetly. More than one person reads it, so treat it as discreet rather than private.

What can happen

What happens depends on what happened, and the call belongs to the organizers. Removal from the league is on the table. There is no refund on removal, the same as there is no refund once registration closes.

Arch Pickleball's rules apply too

The league rents courts at Arch Pickleball in Bridgeton. Their facility rules apply on top of everything here, and their staff have the last word in their own building.
